At The Atwater, we have a very different type of staff member who is specially trained to help residents with all of their needs and with a full understanding of the best practices in dementia care . . . a Care Partner. Care Partners spend time with residents and really get to know their likes, dislikes and daily routines. They genuinely care about the residents they serve and provide care, engagement and stimulation . . . sometimes care is one-on-one, sometimes it’s in a group-related life enrichment program. Specially trained volunteers are also part of The Atwater Team.

Our memory care assisted living program is overseen by a Program Director with extensive experience in Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The team also includes a Wellness Nurse who oversees daily care and supervises the specific plan of care for each resident.
